The Ypsilanti Historical Museum has hired us for a variety of smaller projects, but this one was a challenge. Their limestone steps, cheek walls and threshold had finally succumbed to 150 years of Michigan winters and were substantially delaminated.

Removing the stones wasn't easy with the railings in the way.

Here's a picture of one of the new 1200 pound cheek wall stones.

And the 1600 pound threshold that had to be slid into place under the brick and doorjambs.

We replaced the bottom thread and raised the sandstone sidewalk slab to meet it also.
